The Artist

Ta Thi Thanh Tam graduated from the Vietnam Fine Arts University and has been very active exhibiting locally as well as abroad. The simple outlines and basic techniques utilized by the artist have their roots in old engraving and wood sculpture. Works in lacquer and paper depict the traditions and lifestyle of rural life in Vietnam. Tam’s work was exhibited in 2006 in the prestigious Vietnamese Cultural Festival in Italy, in the exhibition entitled The Dragon and The Butterfly. Tam continues to live and work in Hanoi.
