The Artist

1970 Hanoi Vietnam

Mai Dac Linh is known for his contemplative work in lacquer as well as his works on the ethnic minorities in natural color on Do paper – the traditional handmade paper of Vietnam.

He graduated in 1993 from Vietnam Fine Arts University in Hanoi having intensely studied lacquer work practices. His work has been shown extensively throughout Vietnam and was part of the First Beijing International Art Biennale in 2003. Linh continues to exhibit internationally and in Vietnam.
