Phan Minh Bach graduated from the Vietnam Fine Arts University in Hanoi and exhibited locally in Vietnam before pursuing work as a graphic artist for several magazines. Bach has exhibited and continues to work and teach in Hanoi.

Fate of Kieu, 2000

A woodcut showing the influence from fellow artist Le Quoc Viet, an accomplished and masterful woodcut artist, known for his contemporary styling. This tragic Tale of Kieu by the legendary poet Nguyen Du was inspiration for many artworks in Vietnam. Bach expresses her dismay over the struggles of this woman who sacrificed all her life for her family.
