Gang of Five
Gang of Five was initially formed as a group of five artist friends. Their salon-style showcases at Pham Quang Vinh’s studio became a gathering hub for artists, poets, and art critics in the 1990s. The Gang of Five became an indispensable symbol of the first wave of contemporary painting in Vietnam.
Lecht’s connection with the Gang of Five began the very first day she arrived in Hanoi, when she met Pham Quang Vinh and Ha Tri Hieu. Their art inspired Suzanne’s move to Vietnam, marking a new chapter of her life and the discovery of her lifelong passion.
